Let's Get Started
Step 1
Peel a Halos mandarin and separate into segments.
Place two segments onto a cutting board facing in opposite directions to create a ‘V’.
Step 2
Use the knife to cut a small piece on each end of the segment, at an angle about 1/3”. Slide the two halves together to make a heart shape.
Step 3
Push a toothpick through the two halves, diagonally, until it is sticking out a bit on both ends.
Step 4
Repeat steps above 3x.
Step 5
Great job!
Use a new toothpick to apply a little frosting to each end of the toothpicks inserted into the heart-shaped mandarin segments to act as glue. Place a heart sprinkle on top of each end, with the point facing towards the left.
*Make sure to remove the toothpick before serving to children.

On your mark. Get set.
